The Event

The Panama City Passion Play is a musical Production of professional quality portraying segments from the life and ministry of Christ; the betrayal, crucifixion and resurrection as told in the Bible.

The cast and crew are made up of talented volunteers from the St. Andrew Baptist Church Celebration Choir, Orchestra, and Drama Team. The Panama City Passion Play is a non-ticketed, free community event open to the public on a first come, first seat basis. Reserved seating is available for Corporate Sponsorships of The Play.

The Date

The Panama City Passion Play will take place at the Marina Civic Center on Thursday, April 1st at 7 pm, Friday, April 2nd at 7 pm, and Saturday, April 3rd at 4pm.

The History

Doug White, Executive Producer/Director of the Play serves as the Minister of Worship and Music at St. Andrew Baptist Church. Under his passion and leadership, he has seen this musical drama style Passion Play touch thousands of people, having performed it for 14 years in Miami, Florida and 7 years in Gainesville, Florida and 6 years in Panama City. Each year's production brings new elements of creativity, story line, music and theatrical effects. The Panama City Passion Play is in it's seventh season has been experienced by over 30,000 people!

Panama City has embraced this annual production with their heart felt support, encouraging comments and presence at the Civic Center. It is a joy to present a program of this quality and to see the positive impact it has had on so many lives. We hope you will be part of sharing in the excitement of this weekend!
