A STATEMENT REGARDING THE 2024 PANAMA CITY PASSION PLAY
St. Andrew Baptist Church is announcing the cancellation of the 2024 Panama City Passion Play, originally scheduled for March 14th through March 16th at the Barbara W. Nelson Fine Arts Center at Bay High School. This difficult decision was made following unforeseen circumstances related to a change in the production’s leadership. Unfortunately, these changes will not permit the play to go on as previously scheduled.
“We are deeply saddened by the cancellation of this year’s Passion Play. We wish to thank all cast, crew, and generous patrons who have been central to this ministry’s success in reaching our Northwest Florida community for Jesus Christ, both in past productions and the lead-up to this year,” said Dr. Cory Pitts, Senior Pastor for St. Andrew Baptist Church. “We are encouraged by the great work Christ is doing in our communities and we look forward to future outreach opportunities.”
St. Andrew Baptist Church invites the community to its upcoming Easter Services on Sunday, March 31st at 9 am and 10:30 am. Additionally, the church is anticipating the grand reopening of its newly renovated Worship Center this Spring, a nearly 6-year endeavor of faith following its destruction by Hurricane Michael in October 2018.
